I studied Business at Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile, and I have developed my professional life mainly at Citibank Corporate bank in Chile.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have always felt a strong contradiction between the cold and rational of what I do for a living, and my irrational and creative being. I use photography to balance this contradiction.<\/span><\/p>\n

I was born on March 4th, 1960, in Santiago, Chile. I am married to Carolina and I have three wonderful children; Eduardo, Carolina and Pablo.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first time that I showed my work publicly was at the National Photo Hall of Chile in 2002 (main photo contest in Chile). I won First Prize in \u201cSpecial Techniques\u201d with the “Magic Muse”. Second Prize and Honorable Mention in Fine Art Nudes with “My Diffuse Back” and “The Pubic Hand”. Works were exhibited on December 2002 at Museo de Artes Visuales.<\/span><\/p>\n

During 2003 I won the first, third an two honorable mentions in Nude Photography. I also won two honorable mentions on Experimental Techniques at that years National Photo Hall. Winners were exhibited at the Instituto Chileno-Norteamericano de Cultura. I also obtained the best author in Nudes and Experimental Photography by the National Photography Federation. I received the best photo of 2003 award from the Foto Cine Club of Chile.<\/span><\/p>\n

During 2004, I won several prizes at the National Photo Hall. Second place in Monochrome, Two Honorable Mentions on Experimental Photography and two Honorable Mentions on Fine Art Nudes and one Honorable Mention in Experimental Slides. I also won the first prize in Monochrome in the Talcahuano Photo Hall and did several collective exhibits.<\/span><\/p>\n

During 2005 and 2006 my work was exhibited in:<\/span><\/p>\n

I was published in the national coverage magazine Vivienda & Decoraci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

During 2007 I won the following prized and publications:<\/span><\/p>\n

Honorable mention I the Black & White 2007 portfolio contest. The winning images were published in the August 2007 portfolio special issue of the former\u00a0 magazine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two gold awards in the 2008 Graphis Photo Awards. Two of my images were published in the 2008 Graphis Photo annual.<\/span><\/p>\n

Honorable mention in the Fine Art non professional category of the IPA (international Photography Awards)2008, Won the First Prize in Nude section in\u00a0 the Paris International Photo Awards PX3. Exhibited throughout Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

2009 Chile National Museum of Art , participated in the exhibition 100 years a Chilean Photography Retrospective.<\/span><\/p>\n

2010 Reflexions on the Vis\u00f3n.Photo Exhibition in\u00a0 Centro Cultural of Arica, Chile.<\/span><\/p>\n

2011 Santiago Library Third Photographers Encounters.<\/span><\/p>\n

2016 Cultural Center La Moneda. Selected for the\u00a0 Chile Album Photography Exhibition.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am currently working on several projects which search beauty beyond our senses. After studying modern physics theories I realized that traditional aesthetics are completely obsolete. Colors, shadows and volumes are altered at high speeds; the uncertainty of the quantum theory, the relativity of time and volumes and the randomness of fractals make the representation of the unperceived reality an intellectual challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

I use multi-exposures and long- exposures to capture time, and interpret volumes in time (the forth dimension). I also use prisms and mirrors that alter the light rays and films which capture light waves above and beyond the human eye capabilities, making my personal interpretation of the fourth dimension.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
