I have a Business Degree at Universidad Católica de Chile, and I have developed my professional life mainly as a manager in Corporate bank in Chile. I am self taught in Photography.

I have always felt a strong contradiction between the cold and rational nature of what I do for a living, and my irrational and creative being. I use photography to balance this contradiction.

I was born on March 4th, 1960, in Santiago, Chile. I am married to Carolina and I have three wonderful children; Eduardo, Carolina and Pablo.

In 2002 , I won the First Prize in “Experimental Photography” and also a Second Prize and Honorable Mention in the Fine Art Nudes in the National Photo Hall of Chile in 2002 (main photo contest in Chile). The awarded works were exhibited on December 2002 at Museo de Artes Visuales (MAVI) in Santiago, Chile.

On the 2003 National Photo Hall, I won the first and third prizes and two honorable mentions, in the Fine Arts Nude category. I also won two honorable mentions on Experimental Photography category. Winners were exhibited at the Instituto Chileno-Norteamericano de Cultura. I also obtained the best photographer award in Nudes and Experimental Photography by the National Photography Federation.

I obtained the “best photo of 2003” award given by the Foto Cine Club of Chile.

During 2004, I won several prizes at the National Photo Hall. Second place in Monochrome, Two Honorable Mentions on Experimental Photography and two Honorable Mentions on Fine Art Nudes and one Honorable Mention in Experimental Slides. I also won the first prize in Monochrome in the Talcahuano Photo Hall and did several collective exhibits.

During 2005 and 2006 ,I was published in the national coverage magazine Vivienda & Decoración and Diario La Nación, which did a two full page coverage of my work. I also did two exhibitions.

During 2007 & 2008 I obtained the following prizes and publications:

At the end of 2007, I was invited to participate in a retrospective of Chilean Fine Art Photographers in the Chilean National Museum of Arts.

Merit Award in the Black & White magazine 2007 portfolio contest. The winning images were published in the August 2007 portfolio special issue of the magazine.

Two Gold Awards in the 2008 Graphis Photo Awards.Two of my images were published in the 2008 Graphis Photo annual. The same year it was exhibited in the National Museum of Fine Arts on a retrospective of the last 70 years of Chilean photography.

Merit Award in the Black & White magazine Single image contest 2008.

Honorable Mention in the Fine Art, non professional category, of the International Photography Awards IPA (Lucie Awards).

First Prize and Honorable mention in the Nude non professional section of the Paris International Photo Show PX3 2008.

Best New Talent 2011 award by Graphis.
